Between Me and My Bones

  • Between Me and My Bones is a collection of poems devoted to the wild, magnificent, and messy journey that is the human experience. In her debut book of poetry, Kailey weaves together themes of love and loss, humanity and divinity, addiction and expansion.

  • Through welcoming us into her inner world, Kailey envisions her poems as invitations into our own perseverant hearts where we may begin to discover the boundlessness that comes from the breaking and the gold that is always present amongst the ache.

  • Between Me and My Bones is collection of raw, authentic emotions beautifully woven into poetry that reads like sacred song. Each poem takes the reader deeper and deeper into Kailey’s heart, wounds and healing. Her vulnerability to share such moments of truth is what draws the reader to the next poem. Kailey’s a natural poet who writes from her soul. Her poems are tender and honor each moment she chooses to share with the reader. Kailey’s book is a must read and a beautiful gift to share with others.

  • Kailey has a gift with words! Between Me and My Bones is a collection of poems that perfectly articulate this messy journey we call life. Kailey is honest and vulnerable in each poem. Her poetry allows us to think, reflect, and see a piece of ourselves within her words. I absolutely loved this book and you will too!!!

  • The expression "the only way out is through" has always inspired me, and I think this mantra is one that has led Kailey to share her heart and her experiences with us. These poems invite, encourage us all to take those necessary steps and move forward. Thank you, Kailey, for inspiring us all.

Poetry Book Release & Celebration!

  • Here is the first half of my poetry event to celebrate the release of my new book where I guide everyone through a meditation and share a series of poems from the book. Thank you for listening!

AT HER ALTAR

I will not lie nor

douse the self in light

when darkness draws near;

rather, I will cast my arms

as wide as the ocean

and let everything swim.

I will suffer beside the self

so as to know compassion

and the oneness of things.

I will bow to the fractured parts,

giving praise to she who

brings forth the night.

Intimately now,

almost entwined,

though still a breath apart,

I am breaking and becoming

at her altar.
