Mind-Body Coaching
In our journey together, we are focused on deep and sustainable change, rooted in the mind, body, and spirit. This work is not about quick fixes but about long-lasting transformation.
Mind
The foundation of mind-body coaching begins with understanding and embodying the science. Together, we will explore the world of mind-body medicine and neuroscience, which shows that the root cause of mind-body symptoms are due to signaling in the brain and nervous system not the body. With consistency and compassion, we will work to rewire these danger signals and restore your health and wellbeing. In our sessions, we will explore patterns of thought and limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck and open to new possibilities of healing. This can look like affirming that you are not sick and broken, letting go of rigid diets/protocols, and lowering fear of the symptoms themselves. Once you truly believe in this approach, the possibilities are endless. Some people even say it feels like magic!
Body
Through guided somatic practices and body-centered inquiry, you will learn to be with sensations in your body in a mindful way. Rather than fighting, fearing, or fixing your symptoms, you will explore what it feels like to relate to symptoms through a lens of self-compassion and safety. This in turn lowers the danger alarm signals in the brain. Together, we will explore tools and practices catered specifically to you to rewire the brain and calm the nervous system. This can look like cultivating safety through somatic meditations, exploring expressive writing, feeling and expressing repressed emotions, and fostering self-compassion. Over time, you will move from feeling at war with your body and the symptoms to feeling empowered, connected and at ease.
Spirit
When navigating months, years or decades of chronic symptoms, it is common to lose your love for life. In our sessions, we will explore the deeper messages in your symptoms and how to reclaim your joy, passion, play, and purpose. Maybe your symptoms are calling you to slow down, step into your power, reconnect with your creativity, or leave a situation that is no longer serving you? Maybe you want to hike through the woods again, go to a dance class, or meet a friend for tea? ln our sessions, we will explore what makes your heart sing and take steps towards embodying the life you truly want. Healing happens as we reach for what lights us up!

“And I said to my body, softly, “I want to be your friend.” It took a long breath and replied, “I have been waiting my whole life for this.”
